Short Bio:
Dr Seyed Amir Tafrishi ( セイエド アミル タフリシ ) was born and grew up in Tabriz, Iran. Currently, Amir is a Lecturer on Robotics and Autonomous Systems at the Engineering School of Cardiff University, UK. He is the director and founder of Geometric Mechanics and Mechatronics in Robotics (gm²R) Lab. Also, He is part of the Robotics and Autonomous Intelligent Machines (RAIM) group.
Amir was a Specially Appointed Assistant Professor at Smart Robots Design Lab in Robotics Department, Tohoku University between 2021-2022, working on Moonshot R & D project under the Adaptable AI-enabled Robots to Create Vibrant Societies group.
Since 2015, he has been a visiting researcher at Autonomous Systems and Robotics Research Group, Sheffield, UK, the Mechatronic Lab. at Middle East Technical University, Turkey, the Fluid Mechanics Laboratory at the University of Tabriz, and the Control Engineering Lab at Kyushu University.
